As Time Goes By (Jameson's Version)

Time is running out my friends, are GCSE’s are upon us we shall soon be frolicking out in the meadows free of compulsory education only to come back in September to the Sixth Form. Anyway that's not the point in this article I will be looking back at my school life from playgroup to date so I better get started.

The early years are very misty so bare with me, It all started many a year ago in a playgroup in Claydon. This playgroup was quite large and the people there all had large hair. I seem to remember lots of those red and yellow push cars that you sit in and play destruction derby in.

Now this probably won’t mean anything to you or me but me and Randy can reminisce. Claydon Primary school. It as big I know that. We had our group of friends their was me, Randy, James Kennedy (my arch rival because he was always trying to steal Randy’s friendship from me, bastard) Dan Palmer who Randy still sees from time to time and some kid that I think Randy knocked his front teeth out in some flying leg accident. There were probably others but I cannot remember. In these early years I remember lots of fun, games and shitting pants. I remember two boys only remembered as the tins I think one was called Dominick, I remember them being a little messed up in the head and then there was the Luke Talbot of the school. He was a scrubber who always forgot his P.E kit and had to do it in his pants, he was crazy. And then there was the teachers I remember Mrs Welton Pennock who was Randy's year 3 teacher who later killed herself. There was Mr Fox god he was a fox a dude of his time. I think the head was called Mrs Fish or something on those lines and then there was the Bitch, I don’t remember her name but I know she was so very evil and I found if I hadn’t of moved to Gorseland I would have been in her class in year 4. Yes I left Claydon at the end of year 3 with a large bit of scenery from the recent school show. I remember this because the teacher said that I was leaving never to return when I was halfway through the door so I had to turn around and wave with this huge piece of paper that was to shoved under my bed for many years to come.

Year four or the gap year as I like to call it. I had left Randy behind in Claydon and had to make new friends. My first “friend” was the one and only Gareth Russell, you see he also had no friends and prayed down on all the new kids in his search for friendship. I was with him for about tow weeks and then I met John Faulkner, yes the one with the long hair now. We had our fun with football stickers and go go’s for that year and we became best friends. Then Year 5 came and Randy was back on the scene. John and i grew apart and he found his place with Darren Lansly and Grant Henderson. From this moment on the group of friends created back then is still around today. There was me, Randy, Dan “the man” Greenhow, Edd Dickens, Lawrence, Chris Shields and Michael Ixer, I’m sure there were more but I cannay remember. We spent our time travelling round the field as nuns (with our jumpers on our heads) because it was fun. Dan and Edd had gay relations, we had wars with Darren Lansly’s gang, we played vampires (which was a game we created ourselves) bulldog and other childhood games, we went to Splat on Friday lunchtimes and got sent to Mrs Davises’s office many a time. I spent so many lunchtimes sitting in the office watching the goldfish shit until eventually being sent in to Mrs Davises's office to see her working hard at solitaire and eating donuts. There was also Ski or Alan Duffel he was the school Looney It was classic though. Him and Karen Reed went around calling each other Ski and talking to their hands like they were phones. There was Kenneth who basically lived on the streets and came to school to sleep on the benches, which he really did. There was Kaishe who was a fat Indian crazy girl who if you got caught behind a hut with, you were pretty much going to get raped. There was Mrs Merchant a teacher at the school who was so fat we said she was going to explode in a mass of curry and mushy peas. There was Mrs Tailor the Scot who we dubbed “the laughing cow”. Those years were some of the best of my life, so free to do what you wanted. Then high school.

Yes our years at Kesgrave high had started. Year 7 was a year of settling in. I spent most of my time I think playing with toy cars and Barbie's in the form room with Dan the man. I know we played football a lot and other games like the Beast which was where Craig Zagni went into the trees and we had to keep him in there. I remember we brought vampire back and 40 40 was there. We went with the trends and played with yo yo’s I say we but I really mean everyone but me and a few others. I hated them. Now most of these memories are not exciting as the others mainly because they were not that long ago and the past two years we have had so much information shoved in that the memories have become distant.

But from this article onward I think that everyone who reads the online net should make a contribution to the memories seeing as thought his is a tuning point in all our lives and memories will be forgotten. Just say something that you remember about your school years and hopefully in the end it will be something we can look back on.
