Local Police I don't really have an opinion of these people, instead I would like to tell a small anecdote from a couple of days past now. During this important time (GCSE Exams), rather than sit at home revising and passing our exams we all go down the community for "Community Football", which has been visualised; Anyway, back to the tale. I was making my way down there to enjoy a nice peaceful, uneventful, perhaps even slightly dull evening of football. The evening was quite pleasent, more like a saturday afternoon than a tuesday evening.. although I don't actually remember what day it was and I was biking down the road just past the KFC roundabout and got to the Petrol Station. This is when I was stopped in my tracks, not by a nice girl or indeed a brick wall - much more exciting than that. I was stopped by the sight of a drunk insane psychopath high on heroin engaged in a stick-fight (the use of sticks in an agressive fashion with the intention to injure or debilitate foe) with two members of the 'Local Police'. Natural curiosity took over, so I stopped to watch events unfold - until - I remembered I had the camera on me. At the point where I pulled out the equipment the Masked Ninja was down on the floor with the weight of four african elephants (that's 2 local policeman in metric) on his back. I took the shot. I would've been foolish to let this golden oppotunity pass me by and on reflection I think it was the right decision. One of the 'Local Police' must have looked up sometime around then as before I knew it he told the heavier of the two who decided to come over for a little "chat". When I say chat I mean he came over to shout and attempt to intimidate me. I tried not to laugh at him, I really did but I don't think it made that much difference. I got the entire script from "Why didn't you come to help?" to "I hope you can sleep at night". I sensed the strong feeling he was worried I'd sell the photo to the media who'd then run a story on police brutality - maybe we should do that anyway, 'that'll teach the buggers'. It wasn't as interesting as it could've been and after I got bored of the repetitive threatening verbal abuse I biked off and enjoyed a night of peaceful, uneventful, perhaps even slightly dull football. I'm willing to accept that this was a one off incident in which the Police acted in the wrong manner and possibly ruined my life. On another note; Rawson was saying something the other day about Police being disliked in kesgrave but they have my vote as long as the clean up some of the filfth that lives round there. The morale of this story is - Violence gets you everywhere. Oh yes, if you want to see the picture - ask me Article Written By Jay j666.16814.k00@ntlworld.com |
