Why I can’t write an article? By Rawson

The intro
Ask Randeh about my activities and he will probably say something about “he won’t shut up about calling things ironic!” Ask Alan the same thing – and he’ll probably just say “fuck off and find me a blowhole. Oh and stop calling me Anal!”

However – something that they will both mention – will be my lack of work on both the online net and wide asleep networks. But why am I so lazy? – I am frequently asked.

The answer is – I’m not, just it takes more to confuse a girl like me, and it takes more to abuse a girl like me. This gives me an opportunity to use a quote from a television programme that I am currently watching, “over half a million people die every year”.

So back to the point – why have I not written any articles, even though there is no record of where my time has actually gone? The reason was found by Jay during a recent chat. “The reason is”, he said in a polyphonic way – using his keyboard in MSN, “that he spends most of his time wandering in-between his bedroom, and his computer-room”.

“Is this true?” I asked myself…
So for this one time only – I decided to test the idea by moving beast II into my own room...

Here is the current set up: //

Left to Right: The Orange iMac, 386 laptop, Pc Speakers, upper hi-fi, and lower hi-fi. All linked to twin monitor mp3 server (far right)

Left to Right: The Mp3 server again, the fax machine + telephone, the Fan, The TV, and Beast II. Also note my shpinney chair, and the extra mouse holder (lower right).

Left to Right: The fan, the TV, The 19” monitor, and this time – the spotlights of hell.

The Fan – Inc Alcoholic beverages…

Ok Ok – the only real reason for having the pictures was to make the article look longer – but Id like to point out – that with 4 speaker systems, 3 pc’s, a TV, and a fan all on at once – the inside ambient temperature was at 82 degrees Fahrenheit (29 degrees centigrade).

However – as proved by this article, having both main computers in one room did increase my productivity, but by how much?

To calculate productivity I must work out the amount of articles that I wrote in the day before the move, and after.

Day Before: 0 Articles
Day After: 1 Article
Therefore the change would be 1.
So change divided by first = 1 divided by 1, times by 100 = 100% Thus by simply moving Beast II into my room – I spawned an increase of 100% in my productivity. At this rate – I shall be able to write a lot more. To calculate how much I will write, I shall multiply the original amount of articles written in the day before, by the percentage rise in productivity.

Thus 0 multiplied by 100% equals 0. By this logic, I doubt that I shall write any more articles today. Therefore – moving the pc into my room had no apparent gain in my work, except for a rise in both the power consumption and the temperature of my room.

So now I have worked out the cause of my inactivity – I have come to realise that the only way to get away from the problem – will be to take drastic steps. My plan – will be to write the articles on my iMac.

Well - Maybe not THAT drastic…
