On Reaching 150 Articles
I was appalled to find out that there had been no celebration for the fact that we had risen to the heights of 150 articles. And then I looked back and found that there had not been any celebration for article 50. This also APPALLED me!
The reason that we may have missed number 50, is that there was not time to celebrate at that time. During the period - theonlinenet was going through a period of change. It was uncertain whether the articles would reach 51 - let alone 100, or 150. Nowadays however, the future of TON is remotely secure. Version 7 brought a certain beauty to the Net, and now it is unlikely to go down (at least until october when Jay has to pay the domain fee's). but for now at least - it is predicted that the articles should continue - and soon we shall reach 200, or even, through exponential growth, 201! Looking back - there has never been decline in the online net. There were of course persiods of time where work took a break, and more pressing matters took priority. Soon enough however - as always - the net regained its control on life, the universe and all things paranormal, and growth resumed. The most pressing matter for concern at the moment however - is the work from Jameson. His articles are few and far between. He seems to write - only because he is required to - not because it is his life. We blame this all on El Cid. And we damn my existence. Anyway - all is well in the land of the real. The most recent news is that of Randeh taking LANcentral - which should give growth in that area as well. Wide Asleep Networks is sad to annownce however - that TheOnlineNetMagic, is soon to leave, and is shutting down for good. This is due in the main part, to the lack of Grant playing, and also that the only person writing articles was "Mr H", long time enemy of wideasleep. New members include http://Ihatemyself.org, and somthing else, although i was distracted by a balloon. This should of course all be documented on wide asleep itself. Although I havn't had the time to link my modem back onto the pc yet - so I shall rely on the power of broadband to sent this e-mail to jay. Hopefully there should be much change before the time in which we reach 200. By that time, I think that the site will have grown, and the issue of James wil be resolved. For now, simply good day, and good night. That is all that is required. Written by Rawson sessodio@wideasleep.co.uk |
