He's more than a man, he's a machine. Thats what is said about young Jameson but now that saying is now not just a saying, it literally means what it says. He is a hard drive, infact he's just been installed into my PC. I did not know what it was until i put it in. It's only a small one but it adds to the overall space of the machine.

The HDD was given to me by jay and this evening i decided that the time had come to insert it into now what i class as 'KENTs Control Central (KCC)'. I took photos through the process of installing the HDD so i did not have to write as much.

Above - Firstly slapping the box onto the kitchen work top provided me with a good level of which i could work at. Removing the case i looked around for the cvonnections that i had to use to install Jamseon the hard drive.

Above - When i looked around the inside of the box i found a couple of things that were rather interesting. 1, a fan that was onto of a heat sink - yet no main fans. 2, a Sony battery cell - why it was there is no-one knows..

Above - After looking around the inside of the computer for about 5 - 10minutes i decided the time had come to insert the hard drive. There were 2 possible connections that could be made, so guess work was done. I then set it up ready for the test run.

Above - The guess was correct, and then i saw the hard drive appear on my computer. I was not to know that the name of the hdd was jameson, but when i saw it i knew all was well. Jameson was the new 'D-drive' and sat purring in KCC.

Above - The thumbs up from myself meant all was good, jameson was now playing classics such as the Beach Boys and the masterful work from Oasis. These were a couple of the surprises put onto the hdd by jay prior to letting him go.

3 Days On...
JAMESON (D:) has been running smoothly with no reported problems. The space of the drive is 7.85gb and so far used is 1.61gb. The number of folders has risen from 3 to 7 in the last 3 days. It now contains digital camera images and videos, many many Mp3's, some classic games, a single download of dev-pascal + compiler (in the download folder), a LAN folder and an image manipulation folder. The drive will be treated with a level of respect and shall now be part of the power behind KCC. For now, it rests.
