Power Cables With more and more people getting into computers and the internet these days, the importance on the computer being reliable and fast, is growing. As I recently learned from the computing section in the Argos catalogue, if you surf the internet more, you will need a faster processor. With a faster processor, one will need more power to let it process, which brings me onto my next point. YOU NEED A NEW POWER CABLE, THE ONE YOU HAVE DOES NOT SUFFICE! SHAME ON YOU UNTIL YOU GET A NEW CABLE, SHAME SHAME! SHAME! Anyhoo, sorry for that outburst. ![]() As all computers work on electricity, obviously the most important part of a personal computer is the power cable, which brings the flow of electrons from those funny holes in the wall to the almost-as-funny-holes in the back of your computing device. I would like to say that I have sponsors, and that I got a free power cable from them to review. But that would be a lie, so I'll have to just review some various ones that I have randomly lying about, or in use in my house. So, onto the main review. ![]() Ordinary power cables are round, they have always been round, and will never be anything but round, try and prove otherwise, and I will slap you. However, what excitement they may lack in flatness, is definitely gained in colour choice. I counted no less than four different shades of greyscale, in my home. Alone! Made up from: white, light grey, dark grey, and black. Also they come in various lengths, between 50cm and 200cm. ![]() I'll now be upgrading my power cable from a light grey, Rawson cable, to a black with moulded plugs one. I expect to see anything from 200% increase in internet surfing performance after upgrading the power cable. to the next page! |
