If you haven't checked it out yet, Randy's Rawson Study, part 6 is on the Institute page. Ryan has written two games-related articles, where he seems to have gone mad and written a long preview of The Getaway.

In other news, over a month after his 'Return' article written by Hardcastle, Rawson finally shows signs of existence, with the appropriately titled: Why I Can't Write An Article - By Rawson.

Coming Soon: RandyLAN Evolution - a whole new episode of fear

       presenting:
The James Davey Conspiracies

An exclusive look at the man who put the 'y' in comedy, the possibilities and explanations of this man's disappearence, his fall from grace, his haircut and those stains on his jeans. It's all coming, all - in the James Davey Conspiracies:

> Day 1
> Day 2

Randy has curiously written about a week in the life of Rog in the latest Rawson Study, which along with all the others can now be found at a dedicated Institute page

welcome to the eastside

None

Yes, it's true, I did miss out on the camping shopping trip because I slept in until about 3 but then that's earlier than usual so leave me alone. Ryan wrote this accompanied by many pictures so you can see what went on. The camping trip is ahead despite what I predicted yesterday, so an update tomorrow is unlikely and the next day it will be 'lackluster' due to even less energy than usual.

In other news I have become the first to get my hands on Unreal Tournament 2003, which you can clearly see here. This game is hot property around this area, and I'm sure if I was a ruthless capitalist I would be organising an auction as soon as possible. Instead, however, I shall just hand it over to Rog in exchange for his soul and a packet of bourbons (Rog's address will be put up soon for hate mail and organised beatings).

Once again I have proved myself superior over at our sponsered site; TON Magic - "Jay has won the Competition for the 3rd time running so i decided to close it down until I can think of a question that some else will get right" - I now await delivery of prizes 2 - 3. Randy if you're reading, I think I know where you live.

The Stakeout article is 15% Complete, and the other three things I'm writing are on 1% as the days get shorter and I find myself more and more unconscious on the floor, the chances of them getting finished all at the same time is high, spurts of inspiration an' all.

..and I threw everything else into the Archive.

Well today is another lazy summer day with nothing much going on, yesterday evening and night was very busy and I haven't had time at all to sit here and write the usual amount of rubbish, which in most ways is a blessing to you, and to me. Sometime soon there shall be a write-up of what is still called 'The Stakeout', though it doesn't really follow the lines of the preview. Talk is in the air of a camping trip sometime this week, but as usual I am being sceptical over the likeliness of this happening, and I have come up with a verdict of: unlikely.

Tomorrow should (hopefully) bring not the textbook I need for my Computing work, but also (hopefully) a new desk, of superior quality to this one, which means 'TON HQ Redevelopment, Phase 2.5' will take place. Thinking about it now though, I haven't considered what defines a phase, the definition between 1 and 2 is clear but the rest is anyone's guess..

..and that is all I can think of right now, anything worth mentioning anyway. Once again The Robe throws up a surprise package whilst still working on a unfinished project, which can only be known as Project X (coming soon). This time we have an article about a bin, if you only read one thing this year it should be that. Also here is the first in a series of articles about the Redevelopment of TON HQ and JLAN Central, which includes lots of pictures, which I know will be helpful to those who find it hard to concentrate on just text:

"Jay,
It's 17:13 on the first day of being at Center Parks, the first part of the 'summer plans 2002'. I find this park/forest rather difficult to find my way around. It's been 8 years since I last came here. I am now chillin' with a Carlsberg and tonight plan to swim around and then whatever. Female status: moderate,
                        Laters, Ryan"

and in other news; Catherine Jones reports for 5News on a transvestite's fight to be recognised as a woman. It's raining outside... and in.

As mentioned yesterday, I thought I'd define free time for you. 12 hours into the game now and running low on Pepsi Max, though rumours from realms beyond suggest that if I was to take a trip to the fridge at around 12pm tomorrow I would be pleasently surprised. If there was one thing I don't mind missing at the moment it's Daytime TV - though it seems Rusty has been getting too much of it.                                 You'll like it, it's warm.

FFX

For 11.25% of my current funds I have purchased the next installment of the best and most successful computer game series of all time, each release a saga within itself containing more excitement and pleasure than a CBBC goody bag. I have in my possession, just millimetres from my fingertips; Final Fantasy X.

This means a few things, I still have 100% of my money, it's just that 100% is less than the 100% it was earlier. It also means that I shall be spending most of my free time for at least the next week on FFX, which could/might/will lead to a drop in updates although I'll still try to write something pointless everyday, it's not the same updating without him about - like the feeling you get after donating a kidney.

The Old School

Within hours of my last comment of the update below, the rumour was confirmed with a comeback article from Mr Davey himself, aka. Jameson. This one extract from the mind of the mysterious one was enough to make me go and watch TV downstairs, little did I know I'd come back about 2 hours later to find 3 more from the man who had been silent for 18 articles previously. Long Time, No See and The Personal Computer Revolution give us an update on Jameson's life and loves, whilst the other two return to his favourite subject: Rawson, in The Iain (Rawson) Study, part 3 and Rawson Revision. We have to wonder just how healthy is that relationship?

Rawson Study
I decided to add my input to the Rawson Study in The Iain (Rawson) Study, part 4, if you're not familiar with the work associated with this study then you must read the previous articles by Jameson: part 1, part 2 & part 3.

In the last few minutes myself and Rib have worked together to successfully integrate digital television into 'The-Masterplan' (my pc), before it was seen as impossible to do this and that only analogue could be accessed. We have proved this wrong by scanning previously untested territory in 'PAL N, Cable' and now anything is possible, except world peace and a cure for cancer.

two lost souls looking to meet at the crossroads

Apologies for the lackluster efforts into updates recent, I've been very busy with the redevelopment and renewal of TON HQ and at the end of the day, I'd rather fall asleep on the sofa than sit on a box and write rubbish. It's much easier on a chair. Unfortunately this 'Chaos', as mentioned in cigars and limousines, part two is likely to continue for the forseeable future until some of our more luxurious purchases are delivered from those drunkards on the continent.

There have been some updates in the last few days, which I didn't get a chance to mention like the both amazing and intriguing article by Hendrix himself which is titled When I Get Hungry. After Friday there is a change - Music of the Moment and it wouldn't be sunday afternoon without something else on the monitor.

I will try to find some suitable photos from recent days soon, and word on the street is that Jameson is back in the game is 'uncomfirmed', you shouldn't believe everything you read.

I think the above image best sums up tonight's escapades but you won't understand why without an explanation, an explanation that I am not willing to give. Tonight really marked the end of one era and the beginning of an unplanned, unrehearsed, but hopefully not unfruitful summer. As usual there were pictures, as always there are opinions, stories, facts, anecdotes, old wives tales and memories from this evening, some of which may even be scribed here within the next few days. Next week Ryan holidays in Centre Parks and this will give me the perfect oppotunity I have been waiting for to steal his summerhouse, so watch this space:

"`...You hadn't exactly gone out of your way to call attention to them had you? I mean like actually telling anyone or anything.'
`But the plans were on display...'
`On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.'
    `That's the display department.'
`With a torch.'
`Ah, well the lights had probably gone.'
`So had the stairs.'
`But look you found the notice didn't you?'
`Yes,' said Arthur, `Yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of The Leopard".'"

Raindrops keep falling on the flag

Today was Ozzfest, today we spent time listening to rock music new and old whilst painting the four corners of the world, i'm tired, and this is a short update. The Robe managed to spill a tin of paint on my carpet after it had all gone so well for so long, because of this act of terrorism I hearby strip this room of it's title: 'The Godfather's Shrine' and shall now be known as 'Dr X's Lair of Death and Desruction'. There were alot of pictures and some videos from today which I will consider making public sometime soon including some questionable dancing from Ryan to Elton John music.

and of course you should see the image of the robe doing a 'dr evil' on Air at Alton Towers and KENT's KENT's KENT's KENT'sKENT's KENT's KENT's.

End of School 2002

Removed the linkage to the
World Cup and Big Brother coverage, as the football is finished, and I won't be writing much about Big Brother anymore so it shall just remain accessible through Features. Wimbledon is still going on, but what has happened so far has come under the scrutiny of resident tennis expert Ryan somewhere about here.

The Online Net Presents: Ozzfest 2002

TON Presents: Ozzfest 2002 - Wednesday 3rd July 2002

Because we're too poor to go to the real Ozzfest, we had the idea to bring it to us instead, which simply means that we're going to play some music and call it Ozzfest. Of course we don't have Ozzy Osbourne, and we don't have the full lineup of stars that will be performing, but from Jay's extensive playlist we will create an accurate and fitting collection of songs to play as our own tribute to this great event.

It would be too simple to just sit, lie or dance to the music the whole time so instead we shall be painting at the same time. Yes you heard correctly, The Online Net HQ and Centre of Excellence is having a much-needed facelift and if you're lucky we might get some photographic evidence of this. As for the music, the complete lineup for Ozzfest 2002: TON Presents can be found by clicking here.

"righteous kicking of the teeth" Randy 5-II

Christopher Shields

As Ryan said, today our little holiday was shattered by the unthoughtful ones at advanced education central, and just to piss me off they have to do the same thing tomorrow, I have yet to find anyone who is impressed by this. Tim Henman has finally won his game of tennis about poncing about all afternoon when Neighbours should've been on - read Randy's Wimbledon Commoners article for more advanced thoughts on the matter.

Over at KENT's, that Jamaican man himself has been up to some crazy shit, managing to make two letters (no) last an entire paragraph. I'm not sure what's been read lately but the review series is now officially Finished, and there is nothing currently to upload though I know Ryan will have written something by tonight. And just something I know no-one will be interested in except myself in 10 years, I've decided to change my AS course from English Language to Design & Tech, so without the further learnding, expect my writing quality to drop dramatically and never climb back to it's former glory. On that note, I feel like writing something for Wide Asleep.

To end on a high, we enter July - the middle of Summer and supposedly the hottest time of the year and it's RAINING, bloody hell. Let me remind you all you should check back here every day for the latest news and rubbish as we seem to be updated everyday.

the induction process clouds the mind

World Cup 2002

Alot of talk today is about the 2002 Fifa World Cup, this means a few things. Big Brother has taken a temporarily backseat before it becomes the only subject of my quality and consistent analysis and insights. Today though was a football feast, a celebration of the biggest event in the world of soccer and futbol and small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts, and of course we saw it all.

RKUK has written the World Cup Review, the only one you need to read. This is an article but the way he's formatted it I have had to create a second version for the archives. This is raw problem solving in it's finest form children. Because i'm lazy and have business to attend to tomorrow I have only got half way through my 4th and final film review in this series - The Others, i'll finish it tomorrow evening. Back to the World Cup Final, instead of another review or text description you can see the action the memories only here - World Cup Final in pictures.

I'm sure i've used this image before, but I can't see it in the Achived Updates so it stays today. I've now written 3 out of 4 reviews in the 4 for £9.99 series, so have a butchers at From Hell and The 51st State, which funnily enough are both to be found in the Articles section, along with all the other shite 'round here.

Tomorrow I promise myself I shall write an update for the the big two as everyone gathers round their TVs and sits possibly with their family for the first time since the last World Cup match. Overwhelming support for Brazil wherever you are in the country, even Liverpool and also if you are a scouser then you might be insulted by my latest review - I hope you would be. Also to make up for the lack of Big Brother updates and news and stuff, here is an image the Robe came across, which I think you might find quite amusing.

The '4 for £9.99' review series is taking advantage of Blockbuster's current offer on DVDs, so here is the first one - Behind Enemy Lines, and expect the other three within 28 days. Also I was bored and created the above image using shots from the film, so yes it is my own work. I conceed it could be better, but in the end I just got bored.

I decided not to do a BB/WC update today as there is no matches and I haven't watched enough Big Brother to write anything worthwhile. We're still waiting for Rawson's article(s), but he is currently on day 178 of production and we expect them anyday now. Also there is a new look over the road at KENT's, which is another quality design from Mr Kent, god bless him.

and tonight we watch film (2/4); From Hell

in loving memory

Oh it's Jameson baby

The above is Jameson, in fact it is 5 for the price of 1. It's been so long since I've seen this man for longer than 5 minutes, or talked to him properly. I don't even remember what he looks like without the girl attached to his groin. Until his return sometime in the future, or the appearence of some of his ever-witty, comedy articles we show our respect with the above image, and the image series Jameson on Tour from the Edited Creations section.

Another feature becoming a regular is the popular Community Football, and we can now offer you the pictures from the 24th June, the evening after the morning before. Of course there is always the World Cup and Big Brother 2002 Coverage, which was updated today.

Other new stuff includes The Return of Rawson by Hardcastle, although it is confirmed there is no material from 'the man himself' yet, but we're willing to let him take his time and there is no rush in these lazy days after exams. I have also revised the Disclaimer to cover further legal possibilties.

And for retro-classic sake, here is the Complete Set of Blonde Jokes V5.0.1, and if you haven't already, read the 50 FACTS ABOUT TON VISITERS, now.

"congratulations - give it a prize sheep and call me Julia" / "The real voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes" - Rawson, 2002

So i've spent most of this evening working on and thinking of new innovations and changes and so far this is what i've come up with. The new navigation system on the main page should be quite obvious, and I removed some of the links, which can now most likely be found on the features page.

It's still looking a bit ... something over there, but after an hour or so of tweaking i'm willing to leave it for a day or so, until I find the perfect balance. Also there is an error produced with some uses of the menu, which I can't figure out right now. But at the end of the day the important thing is that Davey Rand has written again; Wimbledon Commoners is another classic, and says what I know alot of us have been thinking.

Also I am worth exactly: $2,761,018.00, anyway,

TON is both sad and pleased to notify you all of our writers situation. While we all mourn the loss of Rog from the 'team' we can now officially say that other young pretenders such as Randy and Hardcastle are contributing beautiful pieces and Rawson is back onside. The only down point being the 'Jameson Situation', which I may write about in coming days. Keep watching this space...

the continuation of something beautiful

The time of stress and work is over, and the time of fun and relaxation has finally begun. The past is behind us all now so we look to the future and provide in the present some truly gripping material.

Where to start, there are new articles as promised; Star Wars: Episode 2 has been reviewed and is also the 'Featured' Article on the new look A page with the archive here. Ryan has written a Tribute to Oasis and there is the story of Local Police and of course What I can't see from where i'm sitting, as well as 2 articles from Hardcastle and a tribute to Spencer from Big Brother. We've continued putting the digital camera to good use with more updates on a new feature for TON - Community Football. The Profiles section has a new look to it with the addition of XProfiles for those who are 'special' and there are the usual regular updates to this, this and this.

also worth noting: Rusty has written another quality article over at his site on gaming tips and here is Jay's latest Playlist.

  4. Some structual / Design changes, specifically to the Articles page.
