There was also something about dancing in the rain but I can't remember now. After a little bit of confusion and me explaining to Rawson that June has 30 days we decided that going without hosting for 3 hours would be acceptable. However, in this life anything can happen, if we're not back in 48 hours as viewers of this message you must order in the airstrike. It says so in our terms and conditions. The 241st article is now online and it's all about last Wednesday which happened to be Sports Day at Kesgrave. This is the most contributed to article of all time with input from many members of the community and everyone in the network, written on old fashioned "paper" - classic. Recent Articles 241. After a short scare and some tears from Mr. Rawson, we are pleased to announce that the site is back to full strength after the domain was temporarily taken out of our control. Now it is back, I have nothing more to say on the matter than what is contained in Article 238: The Empire Strikes Back. I can also exlusively reveal: The Second Great TON Article Awards Results There are two new articles available (Hulley's Reply and The Iain (Rawson) Experience, part 4), and of course Leeds: A City In The United Kingdom, which has been available since the last update. Now that we're back and better than ever before, there are a couple more articles coming to accompany these ones and the analysis from the second annual TON survey later in the year. There has been alot of perfective maintanence done on the site whilst it was in the shadows and you may notice some small changes here and then, please don't be alarmed, it's meant to be that way. The KFC Darts tournament continues at a good pace with a good few games taking place over the last week, including matches in the Charity Cup and an exhibition match including new kid on the block Hardcastle, currently ranked 18 of 18 in the official league. All information and updates on any of the tournaments can be found at The Darts House thanks to Kent. Keep watching, The 4th chapter of The Iain (Rawson) Experience is coming within the next week - and it's better than that harry potter crap. Recent Articles 240. Sunday 15th June 2003 | 10:06am Recently a couple of significant things have happened. The most significant of all being the loss of theonlinenet.co.uk. For the moment, this will make no different to the site at all and it will continue to function as normal on the wideasleep.net hosting. It can still be accessed through the menu at .net and through ihatemyself.org, although hopefully sometime in the near future we should be able to get the domain back, this is by no means the end, unless I say so. Another new site was launched a while back with much success - Movie Vault is a collection of all the movies made in the community including the famous Killian and The Randy Movie. Downloads are all available on the site in .zip format, and more can be expected in the future. All the galleries were completed on 1000, and at the moment there are none in the works, although a second Austria Gallery is still a possibility due to the huge amount of pictures that were taken. Significant progress is being made with The Institute game, with a couple of early beta versions released to test out early commands and GUI design. The concept is currently being worked on, and more can be expected in the future. Later on should come an update with a News page so that the current status of the game can be updated including screenshots of the latest version and test releases. Oh yeah, and Rawson wrote an article. Recent Articles 237. Leeds: A City In The United Kingdom 236. The Rise and Fall of TON Magic

Thursday 15th May 2003 | 18:39pm The 1000 Broken Windows wagon rolls on main.htm has taken a back seat in recent weeks as I have been working on my other main site, 1000. The TON On Tour gallery has grown with images from all over the place and I have added to more new galleries namely: Disneyland Paris and Camp Camp. Accompanying this is the article about Paris, a little overdue and therefore possibly very inaccurate, but someone had to do it sooner or later. Along with this, I have also been doing some Research into the history of pages around here, and the end result can be seen on /retro. Old versions of favourites such as the original Wide Asleep prototype, and sites that no longer exist - The Rocket Launcher, The Offline Net and TON Magic. It's history. Last year there were over 170 articles written for the online net, this year so far we have only had 10. I could put this down to strict quality controls but to be honest there just hasn't been the dedication that was here last year. I would expect an article boom around mid July to late September and then again at Christmas but there is no way we are going to reach the extremes of last year. This is probably a good thing.
