I’m sure many of you know of or are coming to see the production of Grease. It has been a project of the Drama Department for about 10 weeks now. I myself play Sonny the T-Bird which is a good part and I hardly ever leave the stage! Mr Shields is Danny and Elaine Postma is Sandy. Other cast members include John Dixson as Kenicke, Rob Lay as Putzie, Alex Boswell as Frenchy, Vicky ~~~~ as Marty, Laura Alcock as Jan and Louise ~~~~ as Rizzo. (~~~~ = can’t remember last name!) The one and only Jay of the online net is a backstage man and has the great job with Ryan of the offline net of lifting the curtain up to let ’Greased Lightning’ pass though. We do actually have two real cars they have no engines and they roll on and off the stage. Before anyone asks “how did you get them on the stage” well they started off outside obviously. Then they were pushed to the canteen doors and turned onto their sides. They were then pushed though the door and put back the right way up. They were then pushed in to the hall and up to the stage. Then they were lifted at the front end and then pushed from behind so the front wheels where on the stage. Then the backend was lifted and pushed forward and it was on the stage. Well this should be a show to remember and the best one so far. But if you are a dancer I would watch out because only today Miss Bowen had said she was ready to punch someone and as its the Dance chorus practise day tomorrow, beware.
