JLAN 2002
and this was how it unfolded...

rather than write a long article about these type of get-togethers I prefer to list the events with short descriptions and let the pictures then do the talking. Unfortunately any videos taken on the day are too large to store on our servers so they shall stay on my pc, and you can't have them.

8th March 2002

Event #?
Alan and the chicken
After being threatened all week that bad behaviour would lead to a restriction on his KFC rights Alan decided to ignore these pearls of wisdom and start an electrical fire by pouring Dr Pepper on the cable modem. He has since been placed in quarantine indefinately.

Event #1
Alan's Mistakes
Over a period of 5 short minutes, Alan manages to make numerous mistakes which have been chronicled in memory by both Randathon and Ryan.
1.) he told randy to update his display drivers, however the new ones were exactly the same.
2.) Attempting to make a PC work Alan downloaded something that managed to bugger up the entire system, panic stricken he uninstalled it and we all breathed a sigh of relief.
more mistakes will become apparent in future events currently untold.

Event #2
Travelling
The lads treck down the drive to the Tank and start to sing the theme from the A-Team, although only manage the chorus. On the way to Blocbuster Mrs. King manages to stall the Tank twice and manages to change down a gear causing the revs to shoot up.

Event #3
A-Team
Following on with the A-Team plan, the lads decide a dramatic exit from the tank is in order, so upon reaching the destination: Blockbuster we attempt to jump out one by one in A-Team fashion, and all goes well until Alan..
3.) Jumps out, but can't work out how to close the door - ruining everything.

Event #4
In Blockbuster
After spending far too much time fingering the merchandise, the decision is made and we got Shaft on DVD and Twisted Metal Black for PS2, unfortunately MGS2 and Smuggler's Run were all out.

Event #5
Onto the chicken..
Jay and Alan: Master conessueir enter KFC Express and demand the food:
1x Mega Bucket
1x Variety Combo
along with a vienetta for afters, fnar.

Event #6
Entertainment Begins..
As the KFC starts to be eaten we all take out time in savouring the taste and taking our time eating the chicken, all apart from Alan who decides to eat 4 pieces of the 8 within the 5 minutes of starting. At this time Jay has only just picked up his first piece of chicken and Ryan and Randy are finishing their first piece of succulent chicken breast.

Event #7
The half mid-point of Shaft
Alan decides that after a 5 minute intense spell of chicken eating that his stamina levels have dropped to below regular. He decides to rest for an hour or so. The film is also starting to get good.

Event #8
The first G.A.S minute silence
With 2 or 3 minutes to go until the first silence in appreciation of the Godfather who could not be with us, nerves start to show as the silence was approaching quickly. People are told to calm down and get focused ready for the silence. Alan looks likely to keep quiet, and the 10 second call is called. People rise and take positions at the Godfather 'strips'. The 5 second count down is being called and then silence falls... but not forlong as Alan makes a small chuckling noise and then Jay, Randy and Ryan all start to snigger. This occurs for the rest of the minute and Alan gets the blame.

Event #9
The ending of Shaft
Alan starts to have another go at the cold KFC chicken that he had left after his 5 minute orgy of filling his face with chicken. LAN gaming starts to take place after this event.

Event #10
Early Morning Escapades
Ryan and Jay go downstairs to make Bacon, and popcorn. This was about 4:00 in the morning, and during this time they hatched a genius plan. They would slip in some Red Hot Chilis into Alan's Bacon Sandwich, and watch the pain. As Alan was eating it the tension became almost too much to bear, and Al was not best impressed afterwards.

Event #11
Sleeping Beauty
At sometime between 5:00 and 6:00 AM Randathon fell backward off his chair, and fell asleep leaning on the bed but unfortunately awoke before the webcam could capture the moment on picture.
