Back in the summer of 2002; Jay, Ryan and Randy placed their predictions as to how the Premier League would finish at the end of the season. These predictions can be seen here, as well as the scoring system.
By comparing the final league table to the predicted ones, using the scoring system, the final outcome was as follows:
1. Jay - 47 Points
2. Randy - 46 Points
3. Kent - 35 Points
We can see clearly it was a two-horse race at the end, with Randall coming in only one point behind. The main reason for Jay's victory was the accuracy across the board whereas Randy hit hard with the only one of the three of us to guess the exact position of a team.. and that was only once correctly saying Arsenal would finish second.
This was a disappointing season for Kent however, languishing 9 points behind in 3rd. He will be hoping for better when next season's predictions are done, with a nice and more elaborate scoring system.
